  12. versions of its upscale POS brothers, THIS SHAREWARE PROGRAM IS FULLY
  13. FUNCTIONAL AND UNLIMITED IN # OF RECORDS!!!  Supports POS peripherals 
  14. (cash drawers, 40 col. receipt printers, scanners and pole displays).

  16. This program was originally offered commercially at a retail price
  17. of $299.  It is a full-featured, single user point of sale program.
  18. It is also very easy to use and trouble free - our technical support 
  19. department has reported that they only received 1 tech call for every 
  20. 15 programs that were sold!

  22. Why are we offering such a full-featured program at shareware prices?
  23. A new version of our commercial program will be released soon with 
  24. numerous added features and enhancements.  We felt that this code was just 
  25. too darn good to let die.  Therefore, we are now offering it as shareware
  26. so that everybody can afford to join the family of Alteris users and 
  27. automate their business.  Besides, as your business grows, you can
  28. upgrade to one of our commercial programs --  without losing or having 
  29. to re-input your valuable data.

  35. The unregistered version of this program will NOT print your company
  36. name and address on invoices, POs or statements.

  38. Once registered, the name and address you register it to will print on
  39. invoices, POs and statements.

  41. Attempting to change the company name/address will put the program in
  42. 'demo' mode, meaning that it will be limited in the number of records
  43. which can be added.

  46. On-Line Manual

  49. The on-line manual may be accessed via the [HOME] key.  From most 
  50. places within the program, press [HOME].  Select the on-line manual.

  52. The on-line manual contains a table of contents which may be accessed via
  53. [F7] when in the manual.  By highlighting and selecting a topic, you
  54. will go to that point in the manual.  PLease view the manual's [F1]
  55. help screen for additional information.

  61. This program works with many POS peripherals (cash drawers, 40 column 
  62. receipt printers, scanners and pole displays).  These are available 
  63. from NovaTek Corp.  We also offer complete POS turnkey systems (computer,
  64. POS peripherals and software in one unit).

  72. This program will run in either a DOS or a Windows environment.  It will 
  73. work with Windows 3.1 or greater (including Windows 95).  It does NOT
  74. require any special setup to run in Windows.  Simply run it from a DOS
  75. window.  An icon is included for your convenience.

  81. To register this program, type 'REGISTER' from your Alteris SWV directory.
  82. You may then print the registration form.  Please fill it out COMPLETELY
  83. and ACCURATELY as your company name and address will print EXACTLY as
  84. you enter them on the regisration form.

  86. Registration may be done by mail, fax or via our BBS.  
  87. Note: fax or BBS registration must be via charge card (VISA, MC, DISC).
